The RG 50 is an affordable and reliable rain gauge, which impresses with its lightweight design and its compact form and whose operation is based on the proven tipping bucket measuring principle.

Modular:
The RG 50 can be individually configured according to the respective locations and wishes of the measurement net operator. For winter operation, a powerful 15 W hopper heating is available to defrost solid precipitation (snow, sleet, hail). Installation is possible over a 2″ mounting column or on a cantilever. For storage of measured values ​​of tipping bucket pulses (rainfall volume and intensity), the use of the battery-powered SEBA Unilog-Light-R data collector is recommended. Owing to its pocket format, it may be conveniently placed in the RG50 aluminum housing. In conjunction with the radio modem GSM742 data transmission and alerting is feasible.

Application

• Meteorological measuring networks, flood forecasting, basic evaluation for the creation of General Drainage Plans (GEP), rainfall-runoff modeling.
• Since the housing of the RG50 is not lockable, the use within fenced areas or on rooftops is recommended.
